WE DID IT! THANKS TO THE
AMAZING GENEROSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY!
Current pledges: $77,265
In 2011, the generous citizens of Hudsonville renewed a bond that allowed for the improvement and expansion of facilities to accommodate growth within their growing district. The diligence of the school administration ensured that the bond was a renewal rather than an increase in millage rate with no increase to taxpayers. As a result, the Hudsonville school district is planning to build a new freshman campus building that will be equipped with a new competition natatorium (pool). The facility is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of fall 2015. Furthermore, the current HHS pool will be revitalized for community engagement and increased capacity
Make a Splash campaign raises vital funds to ensure that the facilities have the features, equipment, and resources to attract world class events that will bring hundreds of families to Hudsonville on many weekends throughout the year. These investments are over-and-above what was approved for funding by the bond, but are necessary to ensure the facilities can be utilized to their maximum potential.

These guests will participate in West Michigan Swimming, USA Swimming, and Special Olympics Swimming meets; Michigan Water Polo Association and USA Water Polo tournaments; and USA Diving competitions just to name a few. Thousands of new visitors to our community each year will create economic impact and new opportunities for our student athletes.
It is also our intent to ensure that the current, soon to be revitalized facility, will offer expanded services to the community. Two facilities will broaden capacity resulting in increased programming for Hudsonville residents in the form of health and wellness, instructional swim, lifeguard training, and water safety education just to name a few.
